In 1995, a then 14 year old Monica burst onto the scene with her debut single "Don't Take It Personal", through ARISTA Records - it was a radio smash which achieved reached #7 on the Australian singles chart and sold in excess of GOLD sales. Her debut album MISS THANG sold double platinum in the US.
Move forward three years, her sophomore album THE BOY IS MINE was released and went double platinum in the US and gold & top 40 here in Australia. THE BOY IS MINE spawned two massive hits - a duet with Brandy, The Boy Is Mine which reached #3 in Australia and the hit that you couldn't get off the airwaves- Angel Of Mine reaching #12.
Fast forward four years, the now 21 years MONICA has followed her musical mentor Clive Davis to J Records and got to work on her third album ALL EYEZ ON ME. The fruits of this labour can be seen here on title track and first single from the forthcoming album “All Eyez On Me” - a cool blend of urban cool and pop sensibility. Featuring a sample from none other than Michael Jackson's PYT (Pretty Young Thing)... THIS SONG IS HOT..in more ways than one, as it is currently burning up the US airwaves - especially CHR Radio proving that Monica is back and the world is watching!
