MC.JAYSON.BIO.1.0

Standing at a formidable 6'4, this cat in the hat is definitely one of Australia’s ongoing prodigy hype-man.  MC JAYSON aka mr jayson exploded onto the rnb/hip hop club scene over four years ago & is now one of Australia’s most sought after MC’s.

Belittling other MC’s with his grand stature, MC JAYSON really ain’t hard to miss, blessing crowds with his proverbial vocal gymnastics & sounds at the biggest rnb/hip hop events in this country.

Leading the next generation of hype-men down the party halls of groove, armed with nuttin’ but a microphone & a smile, MC JAYSON’s light-hearted approach to crowd motivation is like a breath of fresh air compared to many other hardened, more seasoned MC's.

After gaining the respect & recognition he so greatly deserved, four years strong MC JAYSON has worked along side Australia’s top Dj’s in SeFu, Def Rok, Troy T, G-Wizard, Lilo & Air Rik on a weekly basis & also DJ’s Mark Molina, Eko, Carl Alley, Solz, Stanley, Tony Jean (melb), J-Riq (melb), J-Jay (melb), MC Rudeboy (melb) & MC Skillz (melb) just to name a few.  Securing spots at rnbsuperclub (North Sydney, Manly, Central Coast, Newcastle, Brisbane, Cairns, Melbourne & Noosa, Hobart, Mackay, Darwin, Alice Springs), Hunny, Jigsaw, Deep Blu, Whisper Lounge, Indulge and every long weekend at Superjamm.

MC JAYSON has also hosted numerous club nights/concerts which have featured international artists such as Next, Savage, Mareko & Alphrisk from the Decepticons (NZ) and local acts Random, Jade MacRea, Levi & Lethbridge.

To add to his credentials, MC JAYSON was the official MC on the ‘rnbsuperclub CD Vol 4.0’ mixed by DJ SeFu & Troy T for Warner Music Australia. The CD went GOLD (over 35,000 copies sold) and has gone on to become the highest selling Urban Mix CD in Australia. He also toured with DJ’s SeFu & Troy T to promote the CD in Melbourne, Cairns, Noosa, Canberra, Mackay, Brisbane, Townsville, Wollongong, Gold Coast, Alice Springs & Darwin.

Also MC JAYSON has also completed the next installment to the ‘rnbsuperclub CD collection' namely Vol 5.0 (once again under Warner Music Australia, which is currently in all leading music stores. The CD is mixed by DJ SeFu & Def Rok and is an equal blend of smooth tunes along with club banging rnb/hip hop. MC JAYSON is currently touring alongside DJ SeFu & Def Rok to promote the CD.

To add to his credentials, MC JAYSON is currently composing various radio ads which can be heard on the new Edge 96.1 - the only station in Sydney dedicated to playing nothing but rnb/hip hop.

Make no mistake about it, creating a buzz from party-goers and industry heads alike - people are talking about MC JAYSON, an MC with a difference and presence. Step into one of the parties he’s hosting and you’ll quickly see why he is always the crowd favourite.

MC.JAYSON.BIO 2.0

What influenced you to want to become an MC?

Well actually I started out as a singer/songwriter & have been involved in music for a very long time.  I played piano for bout 6 years along with a number of instruments as well. I also began writing lyrics from time to time.  Working as MC was a way to get some club & industry exposure also adding with promoting myself to the Sydney/Australian club scene.  Since then a lot has happened, its been a bumpy road but im still hanging on!

How did you get your first break?

Let’s just say I was in the right club on the right night at the right time!!!

Have you modelled your MC style after anyone?

Not really because having your own style or E’stille (as I call it) is very important nowadays to be able to be recognized as an individual and not one of the rest.  I see myself as an innovator not and imitator.

Do you classify yourself as a run of the mill RnB/Hip Hop MC?

Well basically I be myself.  I don’t freestyle or rhyme alot but just  enough to keep the crowd & the mood flowing.  I try to steer away from the common stereotype of 8 mile style MCing. Its not what im about.  I can be better described as a hype man or host. Hopefully people are able to distinguish between me & other MC’s.

Best thing about your job?

Being able to have an influence on how the night goes.  Witnessing different people, crowd reactions, different venues or yeah & the free drinks!

Worst thing?

Getting too many and annoying requests, not that requests aren’t ok, but Get Low at 9:30?

On any given night, what do you bring to the table?

Me, myself and I…I bring willingness to be there, ready to perform & contribute to the amusement of the club patrons.  Helping them help themselves turn a good night into a great night.

Most people remember you having a very big afro.  Where’s it gone?

Hummm well it just had to go.  Gooonnnnnnnnneeeeeeee goony goo goo.  Lets just say there was abit of a weekly career change & well the fro had to go.

Anything else to add?

Uhu Uhu Ohh Oh…………website under construction but in the meantime in between time you can check out www.rnbsuperclub.com or www.myspace.com/_mrjayson

Peace
